Roma's Transfer Blitz: Molina, Nusa, Fofana on Radar

Roma's transfer window is heating up as they navigate negotiations for several key players. The club's pursuit of Givairo Read has hit a snag, prompting a shift in focus to Atletico Madrid's Nahuel Molina. Atletico Madrid's initial valuation for the Argentine defender stands at €15 million plus €5 million in bonuses.

However, Roma is reportedly working to reduce this figure, having previously made a bid of €27 million which was not accepted. Molina has prior experience in Serie A, having played for Udinese before moving to Atletico Madrid in 2022. He has since amassed 181 appearances, scoring 9 goals and providing 17 assists.

Beyond Molina, Roma remains keen on signing Antonio Nusa and has also identified Olympique Lyonnais' Malick Fofana as a high-priority target. Encouragingly, the capital club has received assurances regarding Fofana's recovery from a significant ankle injury.

Should a deal for a veteran wing-back like Molina be secured, Roma plans to target a younger prospect for the opposite flank. Torino's Alessio Cacciamani has emerged as a potential candidate, although Torino prefers to retain him and sell other players instead.
