Rising Stars Brevis and Pretorius Earn Maiden Call-ups for South Africa's Australia Tour

South Africa have named their squads for the upcoming white-ball tour of Australia, which will see them play 3 T20 matches and 3 ODIs against the hosts. The selectors have included several new faces, with Dewald Brevis, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, and Prenelan Subrayen earning their first limited-overs call-ups for the national team.

Brevis, 22, and Pretorius, 19, recently made their test debuts for South Africa, and they will now get a chance to showcase their skills in the shorter formats. Subrayen, a 31-year-old off-spinner, has also been included in both the T20 and ODI squads after making his test debut earlier this month.

The Proteas have also recalled several of their regular players, including Aiden Markram, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, and Tristan Stubbs, who were rested for the tri-series tournament in Zimbabwe. However, key all-rounder Marco Jansen will miss the Australia tour due to injury.

Markram will captain the T20 side, while Temba Bavuma will lead the ODI team. The tour will commence on August 10 with the first T20 match, followed by the ODI series from August 19.
