Rising Star Louis Foster Extends Contract with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing

In a significant move for the 2026 IndyCar Series season, rising star Louis Foster has agreed to a multi-year extension with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. The 23-year-old Englishman earned the 2025 IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year honors after an impressive debut campaign.

Foster joined RLL last year following his 2024 Indy NXT championship victory with Andretti Global. He has quickly established himself as a talented and consistent driver, securing two top-three starts and one pole position in his 17 races. Despite a challenging 11th-place finish at the Indianapolis 500, Foster managed to lead five laps and finish 23rd in the overall standings with 213 points.

"We've built a strong, trusting group here, and that familiarity helps us understand each other's strengths and weaknesses so we can keep improving together," Foster said. "I truly believe that consistency will pay off in the long run. I'm excited to get back to work with the team and help push us forward in a positive direction."

The team has also agreed to a long-term extension with Droplight, the sponsor of Foster's No. 45 Honda. This stability and continuity will be crucial as the young driver looks to build on his promising rookie season and challenge for victories in the 2026 campaign.
