Kai Trump Shares Golfing Journey Before LPGA Debut

In the lead-up to the upcoming LPGA Tour event, the Annika Driven presented by Gainbridge, rising stars Caitlin Clark and Kai Trump competed in the Wednesday pro-am. Trump, who has been playing golf since the age of 2, thanks to her mother, finished in a tie for 9th place with her LPGA partner, Aline Krauter, after scoring 16 under in total.

In the same pro-am match, Caitlin Clark was paired with Nelly Korda and finished at T36 with 11 under in total. The pro-am event was broadcast live on the Golf Channel, with the network also conducting interviews during the round.

Ahead of her LPGA debut, Kai Trump attended a press conference at the Pelican Golf Club to share details about her golfing journey. Trump revealed that her first favorite memory in golf was playing the Drive, Chip & Putt event around 2011, and that her biggest tournament so far has been the Junior Invitational, where she learned a lot despite not playing her best. Trump has previously competed in the Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior and the Junior Invitational.
