Cornerback Riq Woolen has signed a one-year deal worth $15 million with the Philadelphia Eagles. This move comes shortly after Woolen secured a Super Bowl 60 victory with the Seattle Seahawks. He was originally a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, quickly earning a Pro Bowl selection in his debut season.
During his time with the Seahawks, Woolen showcased impressive physical attributes and made significant contributions, recording 203 tackles and 12 interceptions over 64 regular-season games. However, his playing time decreased in the 2025 season, with the Seahawks favoring other players.
Despite a reduced role in his most recent season, Woolen was instrumental in Seattle's NFC West division title. The Eagles will be looking to leverage his talent, though analysts note his potential for mental lapses alongside his exceptional athleticism.
