Teen Sensation Watson Debuts for Chelsea

Sixteen-year-old Reggie Watson has officially made his senior debut for Chelsea in their Carabao Cup third-round fixture against Leeds United at Stamford Bridge. This significant opportunity comes as manager Xabi Alonso opted for substantial squad rotation, implementing nine changes from their recent league match.

Watson, son of ex-Wigan Athletic captain Ben Watson, has impressed during pre-season and earns his first competitive start for the Blues. The starting lineup also sees Valentin Barco making his first start and Pep Chavarría entering the fray. Goalkeeper Mike Penders replaces Emiliano Martinez, and Levi Colwill returns to the defense.

Leeds United have also significantly altered their lineup, making eight changes from their previous game. Newcomers Michael Zetterer and Melvin Bard are set to make their debuts for the Yorkshire club.
