The Boston Red Sox are looking to significantly upgrade their offense after ranking 26th in home runs last season. A key target identified to address this weakness is Jake Bauers, who had a breakout year.

Bauers led the Milwaukee Brewers with 26 home runs and earned NLCS MVP honors. His ability to play first base, designated hitter, and outfield provides valuable flexibility.

With potential departures of Masataka Yoshida and Jarren Duran, Bauers could fill a crucial role. His power, walk rate, and ability to avoid chasing pitches make him a quality addition that fits well into the Red Sox's existing lineup structure.
