Alvarez seeks redemption vs. Real Madrid

Atlético Madrid prepares for a crucial match against fierce rivals Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia this Thursday, seeking to improve their away form. Los Colchoneros have struggled to secure points outside their home stadium recently, a trend they must reverse.

Star forward Julián Álvarez has experienced a dip in his scoring output, with limited goals and assists in his last 12 LaLiga appearances. Despite this lull, Álvarez has a proven track record of performing in big games and has a history of scoring against Real Madrid.

Real Madrid enters the contest on a high after a dominant win, but will be missing Kylian Mbappé, who has been in exceptional form. They also face absences due to injuries to Éder Militão, Dani Carvajal, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Brahim Díaz is on international duty.
