Carreras Clashes with Arbeloa: Bench Woes Spark Managerial Firestorm

Tensions are escalating within the Real Madrid dressing room, primarily centered around the difficult relationship between left-back Alvaro Carreras and manager Alvaro Arbeloa. Carreras has faced internal criticism regarding his attitude and professionalism throughout the season, impacting his role in the team.

A recent report detailed a sharp exchange where Arbeloa told Carreras to 'go and get his own coaching licence' after the player expressed frustration about bench time. This incident has further strained their relationship, despite Carreras returning to the starting lineup.

Carreras' struggle for consistent minutes, having been an unused substitute in three of the last four matches, has intensified the situation. With Arbeloa not expected to remain manager beyond the 2026/27 season, Carreras may soon have an opportunity for a fresh start.

The dynamic between managers and players significantly shapes careers. For Carreras, the upcoming managerial transition at Real Madrid could prove to be a pivotal turning point.
