RCR Revamps 2027 Lineup with Rising Stars

Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has revealed its new driver lineup for the 2027 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts season, with Carson Brown and Chandler Smith set to join the team. This announcement follows the departures of Jesse Love and Austin Hill, who are moving to full-time Cup Series competition next year.

Eighteen-year-old Carson Brown, who recently secured his first ARCA win, will step into the No. 2 Chevrolet. He expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, emphasizing his commitment to hard work and continuous improvement. Richard Childress highlighted Brown's impressive driving skills and strong character as key reasons for his selection.

Chandler Smith, 24, has signed a multi-year deal. Smith brings a strong track record, including nine NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series wins and previous success in the Xfinity Series and Cup Series. He conveyed his thankfulness for RCR's history of developing young talent and expressed enthusiasm for partnering with 1-800-PACK-RAT.

Richard Childress noted that Smith has earned his place through consistent winning performances and a clear understanding of success at the highest levels of racing. Both new drivers are poised to make significant contributions to RCR's NASCAR program.
