Royal Challengers Bengaluru is set to clash with Gujarat Titans in a pivotal IPL 2026 encounter on Friday, April 24th, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The home team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has had a strong start to the season.
Captain Rajat Patidar confirmed at the toss that key England wicketkeeper-batter Phil Salt will not participate in this match due to an injury. The exact nature of Salt's injury remains unknown. Jacob Bethell is expected to fill in for Salt, potentially as an impact player.
Patidar opted to bowl first after winning the toss, anticipating a bowl-first pitch. He also commented on the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium's reputation as a batting-friendly ground, though he noted the lack of grass might make the pitch tacky in the first innings.
