Ambati Rayudu has sparked debate by declaring Sunil Narine the all-time greatest player in the Indian Premier League. Narine, who retired from international cricket in 2023, remains a vital asset for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
His consistent impact dates back to KKR's first IPL title in 2012. He was crucial again in their 2014 and 2024 championship victories, notably contributing significantly with both bat and ball in the most recent triumph.
Rayudu praised Narine's all-round capabilities, stating he stands out as a proper match-winner. As of IPL 2026, Narine continues to exhibit remarkable effectiveness, despite evolving T20 conditions favouring batters.
His recent Player of the Match award in his 200th IPL appearance, during KKR's win over Gujarat Titans, underscored his enduring influence and ability to perform under pressure.
