Ravens lose Jackson & Hendrickson for Falcons clash
10 Oct
Summary
- Lamar Jackson and Trey Hendrickson ruled out for Week 5.
- Ravens also missing newly acquired center Cam Jurgens.
- Key offensive and defensive stars will not play Sunday.
The Baltimore Ravens are set to face the Atlanta Falcons in a crucial Week 5 game, but will do so without their starting quarterback and star pass rusher. Lamar Jackson, the two-time NFL MVP, has been ruled out for Sunday's contest.
Adding to the team's challenges, NFL All-Pro edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, the Ravens' highest-paid defensive player, will also not play. The team also confirmed that newly acquired Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens will be sidelined. Jurgens was already in concussion protocol when he was traded to Baltimore earlier this week.
While wide receiver Zay Flowers and cornerback Marlon Humphrey are questionable, both are expected to be available for the game against the Falcons. Their potential participation offers a slight silver lining amidst the significant absences of Jackson and Hendrickson.
