Pocic's one-year contract is valued at $4.5 million. He previously started 13 games for the Browns before his injury, which occurred in the final season of his previous contract. His addition is expected to alleviate concerns about the center position and provide veteran leadership in a new offense, particularly given Linderbaum's integral role in protections.
Drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Pocic became a full-time starter early in his career. He later joined the Browns in 2022, where he became a full-time starter at center. The Ravens secured Pocic after his recovery, addressing a key need following Linderbaum's departure to the Raiders, which marked the largest deal for an interior offensive lineman in NFL history.
