Ravens LB Teddye Buchanan cleared for return

The Baltimore Ravens have received significant positive news regarding linebacker Teddye Buchanan's recovery from an ACL injury. The team announced that Buchanan has passed his physical and will be activated from the PUP list. He was initially placed on the PUP list at the start of training camp.

Buchanan sustained his ACL tear in December of the 2025 season. Despite the injury, he played in 14 games, recording 93 tackles and earning a spot on the PFWA NFL All-Rookie Team. His return is a massive boost for the Ravens' defense, adding a key starter back to the lineup. Head coach Jesse Minter praised Buchanan's dedication to rehabilitation.

With Buchanan's activation, the Ravens are nearing full strength on defense. The team is also looking for defensive tackle Travis Jones to practice more soon. Buchanan's return is expected to improve the Ravens' pass rush and run defense, which struggled last season, finishing in the bottom 10 of total defense. While he is unlikely to play in preseason games, he is on track to potentially be ready for Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts.
