Ravens' O-line Wrecked: Top Pick Injured, Jackson Out
26 Oct
Summary
- Rookie guard Vega Ioane suffered a knee injury and was sidelined.
- Lamar Jackson was also absent due to an ankle injury.
- The Ravens face two crucial games against the Steelers soon.
The Baltimore Ravens are facing significant injury challenges, particularly on their offensive line. Rookie first-round draft pick Vega Ioane sustained a knee injury during the Ravens' recent 35-13 defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals. This setback further depletes an offensive line already hampered by previous injuries. Ioane was recently moved to center due to other players being unavailable before the team acquired Cam Jurgens.
Adding to the Ravens' difficulties, quarterback Lamar Jackson was also inactive for the game against Joe Burrow and the Bengals, nursing an ankle injury. These absences come at a critical juncture as Baltimore prepares for two upcoming matchups against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens visit Pittsburgh in Week 15, followed by a home game against the Steelers in Week 18. With key players sidelined, the team's postseason aspirations could be in jeopardy.
