Ravens Center Injured, Poses New Depth Concerns

Baltimore Ravens center Danny Pinter sustained a knee injury during a joint practice with the Minnesota Vikings and was carted off the field. Pinter was seen with a brace on his right leg after appearing to get rolled up on during the practice session.

While head coach Jesse Minter provided no immediate update, any player requiring a cart evacuation raises concerns. Pinter, signed to a one-year deal this offseason, had been a strong contender for the starting center role, receiving the majority of first-team reps in training camp and starting the preseason opener.

The injury intensifies the competition and uncertainty at the center position, which was already considered a question mark. Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic are the primary candidates to step into starting roles should Pinter be sidelined long-term.

Gwyn has impressed recently, particularly in preseason and practice, while Pocic is still working back from an achilles injury and has not yet secured the starting spot. The team will closely monitor Pinter's prognosis.
