Raphinha Smashes Barcelona Scoring Record!

Raphinha is leading Europe's scoring charts with an exceptional start to the 2026/27 season for Barcelona. The Brazilian forward has amassed 14 goals in his first eight competitive matches, including 12 in LaLiga and two in the Champions League. This remarkable performance positions him ahead of other top forwards in Europe's five major leagues.

His current scoring rate of 1.75 goals per game and a goal approximately every 45 minutes is unprecedented. Raphinha's prolific form has broken Barcelona's long-standing scoring record, surpassing César Rodríguez's 13 goals from the 1948/49 season. This record encompasses all competitive matches in the opening eight games.

Raphinha has been deployed as Barcelona's central striker this season, a tactical shift that has coincided with his goal-scoring surge. Coach Hansi Flick has utilized him in this role as Barcelona has achieved seven consecutive victories in LaLiga, accumulating 21 points. His recent performances include back-to-back hat tricks, showcasing his potent offensive capability.

While Raphinha leads in all competitions, his 12 LaLiga goals also place him atop the league's scoring table. His European form extends to the Champions League, where he was named Player of the Match in Barcelona's opening fixture, scoring twice.
