Rangers Cut Injured Pitcher Sborz

The Texas Rangers have made a roster move, non-tendering pitcher Sborz on Friday. This decision comes after a challenging season for the right-handed reliever.

Sborz commenced the 2025 season on the 60-day injured list due to surgery on his right shoulder performed in November of the previous year. While he was able to begin a rehabilitation program in July, his recovery did not progress to the point where he could rejoin the major league team.

As a result of being non-tendered, Sborz is now a free agent. He will be seeking an opportunity to sign with a team that requires additional right-handed pitching depth in their bullpen for the upcoming seasons.
