The Los Angeles Rams have solidified their place in the NFC playoffs, securing the No. 5 seed after concluding their regular season with a victory against the Arizona Cardinals. This win propelled them up the standings, setting the stage for a promising wild-card round matchup.
Their upcoming opponent, the Carolina Panthers, also clinched a playoff berth under somewhat unusual circumstances. After a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina's postseason hopes hinged on the Atlanta Falcons securing a win against the New Orleans Saints, which ultimately occurred.
This wild-card contest holds particular interest as the Panthers managed to defeat the Rams earlier in the season during Week 13. Despite this previous result, the matchup is considered the most favorable for Los Angeles among the potential playoff opponents. The exact date and time for this game are pending announcement.
