Raiders Hire Klint Kubiak, Emphasize Foundational Play

The Las Vegas Raiders are embarking on a significant rebuilding phase, spearheaded by the recent hiring of Klint Kubiak as their new head coach. This move is considered the most crucial step in their strategy to quickly reverse a trend of losing seasons.

Kubiak, who brings a wealth of experience, has insisted on the equal importance of his coaching staff. The Raiders' front office has actively sought to surround him with seasoned professionals, fostering familiarity and trust to ensure a smooth start to what they hope will be a long tenure.

As the team gears up for the 2026 season, roster changes are also underway to complement the revamped coaching staff and new schemes. A key focus for the Raiders will be expediting the integration of new offensive players to build a cohesive unit.

Veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins underscored the necessity of a strong offensive foundation, beginning with fundamental details. He noted the value of thoroughly installing basic plays, emphasizing that all advanced strategies build upon these core principles. The Raiders must prioritize this foundational rebuilding after years of disappointment.
