PWHL Hamilton has bolstered its roster by acquiring the contract rights to forward Peyton Hemp. The team made this move as their final action in Phase 4 of the PWHL's Expansion Player Distribution Process.
Hemp, previously with the Ottawa Charge, completed her rookie season with a notable performance, tallying nine points in 30 regular-season games. She also contributed one goal during the team's journey to the Walter Cup Finals. Her collegiate career at the University of Minnesota was distinguished, accumulating 123 points across 156 regular-season games. Hemp has also gained international experience, having represented the United States at the 2020 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship.
With this acquisition, PWHL Hamilton has now reached its required roster size of 10 players. Hemp will reunite with former teammates Brianne Jenner and Emily Clark on the Hamilton squad.
