23 Jan
Summary
- Rickelton and Stubbs replace injured de Zorzi and Ferreira in T20 World Cup squad.
- De Zorzi's hamstring injury and Ferreira's fractured clavicle rule them out.
- Miller's participation is uncertain pending a fitness test; Hermann replaces him for WI series.

South Africa's T20 World Cup 2026 squad has seen significant changes with the inclusion of Ryan Rickelton and Tristan Stubbs. These dynamic players have been brought in to replace Tony de Zorzi and Donovan Ferreira, both of whom have been ruled out due to injuries sustained recently.
De Zorzi failed to recover from a hamstring injury picked up during the ODI series against India last month. Ferreira suffered a fractured clavicle while competing in the SA20 tournament. Both injuries necessitate their absence from the upcoming T20I series against the West Indies and the T20 World Cup.
Adding to the team's injury concerns, key batter David Miller is currently sidelined with an adductor muscle injury. While he remains in the T20 World Cup squad for now, his availability hinges on a future fitness assessment. Rubin Hermann has been named as Miller's replacement for the T20I series against the West Indies.
