- Rubin Hermann and Dewald Brevis steer South Africa to victory

The Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series is currently underway, with South Africa and New Zealand competing against the host nation. In the opening match, South Africa faced Zimbabwe and emerged victorious by 5 wickets.
Opting to bat first, Zimbabwe posted a modest total of 141/6 in their 20 overs. The Proteas' bowlers, led by George Linde's impressive figures of 3/10, did an excellent job of restricting the hosts. However, South Africa's chase did not get off to the best start, as they lost 3 wickets for just 38 runs in the opening 5.4 overs.
But Rubin Hermann (45) and Dewald Brevis (41) steadied the ship with a crucial 72-run partnership for the fourth wicket, guiding South Africa to a comfortable victory. The Proteas will now turn their attention to their next match against New Zealand, which is scheduled for July 16.
The tri-series features a total of four matches for each team, with the top two teams advancing to the final on July 26. All the matches are being played at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe.
