Summary
- New coach Micah Nori emphasizes attention to small details.
- Blazers lead Western Conference with a 6-1 record.
- Team drastically reduced turnovers from last season.
The Portland Blazers are experiencing a notable turnaround early in the NBA season, achieving the best record in the Western Conference at 6-1 under first-year head coach Micah Nori. Guard Scoot Henderson has attributed the team's success to Nori's emphasis on crucial "small details," an aspect the team previously lacked.
This focus has translated into tangible results, including a league-leading scoring average of 121.9 points per game. Furthermore, the Blazers have significantly curbed their turnover rate, reducing it from an NBA-worst average last season to a mid-tier ranking this season. These early successes position Portland as a potentially strong contender in the league.
