3 Apr
Summary
- PNC Park permits one soft-sided bag, 16x16x8 inches or smaller.
- Exceptions for diaper and medical bags require security check.
- Fans can bring clear water bottles and food, but no glass or cans.

As the Pirates return to Pittsburgh for their home opener, fans heading to PNC Park should be aware of the updated bag policy. Each attendee is permitted one soft-sided bag, with dimensions not exceeding 16 inches by 16 inches by 8 inches. Larger bags will not be allowed into the stadium, and all permissible bags are subject to inspection by security personnel.
While the general rule is strict, exceptions are made for diaper bags and bags required for medical reasons; however, these must be presented to security for a thorough check. Prohibited items include anything deemed hazardous or disruptive, such as speakers, drones, fireworks, and weapons. Guests are welcome to bring cameras and video recorders, provided they are not packed in hard-sided cases.
For refreshments, fans can bring their own food and bottled water. Water bottles must be clear, plastic, sealed, disposable, and 24 ounces or smaller. Notably, glass bottles, cans, and alcoholic beverages are forbidden. Umbrellas are allowed but can only be opened during periods of rain.
