Penn State Football: New Transfers Wear Iconic No. 8

Penn State football is preparing for its season opener, scheduled to take place in just eight days at home against Marshall. This marks the beginning of the Matt Campbell era for the Lions. Two players, both transfers from Iowa State, have been assigned the number 8 jersey.

Senior linebacker Kooper Ebel is a notable addition, having been a consistent starter for Iowa State over the past two years. He has accumulated substantial statistics in tackles for loss, sacks, and forced fumbles, and is expected to be a key starter. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Karon Brookins is the other player wearing No. 8, joining Penn State after a year with the Cyclones. The team is gearing up for their first game.
