He averaged 14:55 of ice time per game, including significant power play contributions. Kuzmenko underwent surgery in late February for a meniscus injury and managed to play in one postseason game.
This move adds depth to the Penguins' forward group. Kuzmenko, a Russian-born player who was not drafted, has played for four NHL teams since his first NHL season in 2022-23, when he achieved his best performance with 74 points for the Vancouver Canucks.
