Summary
- Dzenan Pejcinovic transferred to VfB Stuttgart for 25 million euros.
- RB Leipzig made a late attempt to sign Pejcinovic but failed.
- Pejcinovic scored 12 goals for Wolfsburg last season.

Dzenan Pejcinovic's transfer from VfL Wolfsburg to VfB Stuttgart has been finalized, pending a medical examination. The deal encountered a late challenge as RB Leipzig attempted to sign the 21-year-old striker.
RB Leipzig had initially targeted Fisnik Asllani from TSG Hoffenheim for 25 million euros, but the transfer collapsed due to Asllani failing his medical. This development paved the way for Pejcinovic's move to Stuttgart to proceed unimpeded.
Wolfsburg's managing director, Dieter Hecking, confirmed an agreement had been reached with another club on Saturday. Reports indicate Pejcinovic's transfer to Stuttgart is valued at 25 million euros, with no additional bonuses. His new contract is set to last until 2031 and includes no release clause.
Pejcinovic was a significant asset for Wolfsburg during their recent relegation season, scoring 12 goals in 34 matches. He joined Wolfsburg in the summer of 2022 from FC Augsburg for 1.25 million euros and made his breakthrough after a loan spell at Fortuna Düsseldorf.
