Pat Knight, son of the legendary Bob Knight, has resigned from his position as head coach of the Marian Knights men's basketball team. Knight's tenure at Marian, located in Indianapolis, spanned two seasons, during which the team compiled a 16-34 record. He was hired in 2024 by Marian athletic director Steve Downing. Knight previously coached at Texas Tech and Lamar, and also spent 10 seasons as a scout for the Indiana Pacers, a role he expressed interest in returning to.
