Pakistan Squad Revealed for Bangladesh Test Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the 16-player squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, scheduled for May 2026. The first Test will take place from May 8 to 12 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. The second Test follows from May 16 to 20 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Shan Masood will captain the Pakistan side, which features key players including Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. The team is set to convene for a training camp in Karachi on April 27, with departure for Bangladesh scheduled for May 2. Players involved in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will join the squad subsequently.
In addition to the squad announcement, the PCB has appointed former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed as the new red-ball head coach. Asad Shafiq will serve as the batting coach, and Umar Gul will be the bowling coach. These new appointments signal a strategic move by Pakistan to improve recent performances during their tour, which commences on May 8.
