- Injury occurred while chasing a ball in the outfield

According to the news, Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the 3rd T20I and the upcoming 3-match ODI series against West Indies after suffering a left hamstring strain. The injury occurred during the 2nd T20I against the Caribbean team in Lauderhill, where Zaman was chasing a ball in the outfield during the 19th over of the West Indies' innings.
The medical assessment has revealed a minor strain to Zaman's left hamstring. As a result, he will now return to Pakistan on August 4th, with the PCB medical staff at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore overseeing his recovery. A replacement player for the ODI team has not yet been confirmed by the PCB.
Zaman had gotten starts in the first two games of the series, scoring 28 and 20 runs respectively, but was unable to convert them into bigger innings. This is the second time this year that Zaman has been ruled out of a tournament/series due to a muscular injury, having previously missed the remainder of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in February due to a similar issue.
