Pakistan Aims for Final Berth vs England Today!
25 Oct
Summary
- Pakistan eyes final spot with victory over England.
- England seeks a win to keep their tournament hopes alive.
- Gaddafi Stadium offers a batting-friendly surface.
Pakistan is set to face England on Sunday, October 25, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, aiming to secure their place in the final of the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series. The home team has won both of their previous matches, positioning them at the top of the standings.
England, conversely, is in a critical position, needing a victory to revive their campaign. They currently sit at the bottom of the table without any points. The previous encounter saw Pakistan achieve an 87-run victory over England.
Gaddafi Stadium is known for its batting-friendly conditions, and this match is anticipated to be a high-scoring affair. Pakistan's bowling attack, featuring Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, has been a significant strength. England's batting lineup, led by Joe Root and Harry Brook, remains a potent threat, though their death-overs bowling requires improvement.
Fans in India can watch the game on Sony Sports Network and SonyLIV, while PTV Sports and A Sports' digital platforms will broadcast it in Pakistan. The match begins at 1:30 PM IST.
