Bueckers' Next Level: Teammate Sees "Insane" Growth Ahead

Paige Bueckers is poised for significant growth as a leader for the Dallas Wings, according to teammate Alysha Clark. Clark emphasized that Bueckers' development hinges on her ability to command and direct the team, balancing her innate unselfishness with decisive offensive actions. This means learning the crucial lesson of when to take charge and score herself versus when to facilitate for teammates.

Bueckers, in her second year, already displays remarkable game command, akin to veteran players. In the 2026 season, she led the Wings with 20.9 points and 5.9 assists per game, proving her scoring prowess. However, she acknowledges her own desire to be more aggressive, both in her scoring and in creating plays for others.

Clark expressed excitement for Bueckers' future, anticipating that this added layer of assertiveness will make her even more formidable. The Wings guard is aware of this challenge, having expressed a lifelong battle with finding that perfect balance. As Dallas builds on its playoff return, Bueckers' refined approach to aggression is expected to elevate her game and the team's championship aspirations.
