On the Seahawks' side, coach Mike Macdonald has announced that rookie third-round pick Jalen Milroe will play the entire preseason game, allowing veteran Sam Darnold to rest up for the regular-season opener against the San Francisco 49ers on September 7.
The joint practices between the two teams have not been without incident, however. Several fights broke out between the Packers' offense and the Seahawks' defense, with Packers right tackle Zach Tom even getting ejected for throwing a punch. Despite the scuffles, both teams are using the joint practices as valuable preparation for the upcoming season. The Packers are still working to get their receiving corps healthy, with Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and rookie Savion Williams all limited to varying degrees. This may have contributed to quarterback Jordan Love's struggles in red zone drills against the Seahawks' defense on Thursday.
