Packers Kicker Doubtful for Giants Clash Due to Quad Injury

As of November 17th, 2025, the Green Bay Packers are facing a significant challenge ahead of their upcoming game against the New York Giants. Their veteran kicker, Brandon McManus, is doubtful to play in the matchup due to a lingering quadriceps injury.

McManus had previously missed two games earlier this season due to the same quad issue. Though he returned to action in the Packers' last three games, his performance has been inconsistent, going just 4 of 8 on field-goal attempts during that stretch. This includes a missed 64-yard attempt in the final play of the Packers' 10-7 Monday night loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition to McManus' injury concerns, the Packers have also ruled out receiver Malik Heath for the Giants game, citing a "coach's decision." Heath has been a contributing member of the Packers' offense this season, catching six passes for 86 yards while playing just under one-third of the team's offensive snaps.

The Packers' roster does include a second kicker, Lucas Havrisik, who filled in capably for McManus in the two games he missed earlier this season. Havrisik went a perfect 4 of 4 on field-goal attempts during that stretch, including a 61-yard make that set a new franchise record.

As the Packers prepare to take on the Giants in a crucial NFC matchup, they will need to find a way to overcome the absences of both McManus and Heath if they hope to come away with a victory.
