8 Oct
Summary
- Tyrese Haliburton plays preseason game at his former college venue.
- Guard returns to court after missing last season due to injury.
- Game features new Timberwolves lineup with Edwards and Ball.
The Indiana Pacers are set to begin their preseason campaign against the Minnesota Timberwolves this Wednesday, with a special focus on star guard Tyrese Haliburton. The game will be held at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, a venue where Haliburton played for Iowa State University from 2018 to 2020 before entering the NBA.
This matchup is particularly significant as it represents Haliburton's return to the court after a season-ending Achilles injury sidelined him for all of last year. Fans will also witness how Haliburton integrates with new teammate Ivica Zubac, acquired during the previous trade deadline.
The Timberwolves, having already played one preseason game, are looking to build chemistry with their revamped roster, which prominently features Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball. This contest in Iowa offers a crucial opportunity for both teams to assess their developing lineups ahead of the regular season.
