Ounahi: Regragui Urges Midfielder to Recapture World Cup Form

Moroccan national team coach Walid Regragui has called on midfielder Azzedine Ounahi to regain his peak performance levels for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations. Ounahi, once hailed as a breakout star after the 2022 World Cup, has faced challenges in consistently replicating that form at the club level. Regragui described Ounahi as the team's "metronome," asserting that his optimal performance is crucial for Morocco's success.

Following his standout performance in Qatar, Ounahi attracted interest from top European clubs, including Arsenal and Napoli. He eventually joined Olympique de Marseille, but his time there was hampered by club instability and limited playing opportunities. After a loan spell at Panathinaikos, Ounahi secured a move to La Liga side Girona, which has provided a more suitable environment for his talents.
