Ottawa Acquires Forward William Eklund

The Ottawa Senators have completed a trade, acquiring forward William Eklund from the San Jose Sharks. This transaction was confirmed by a league source.

Eklund, who is 23 years old, has played parts of the last five seasons with the Sharks. During the previous season, he achieved 15 goals and 53 points in 78 games. Across his career with the Sharks, Eklund accumulated 50 goals and 163 points in 252 games.

This acquisition represents the second trade made by the Senators within a two-day period. Previously, on Sunday, the team traded their captain, Brady Tkachuk, to the Florida Panthers in exchange for three first-round picks and one second-round draft pick.
