Summary
- Striker Osimhen will miss five to six weeks due to a broken forearm.
- The injury occurred during a significant 4-0 Champions League defeat.
- He will also miss the crucial Istanbul derby match on April 26.

Victor Osimhen, a 27-year-old striker, revealed on a Twitch livestream that he is set to undergo surgery for a broken forearm. The injury was sustained during a challenging Champions League round of 16 second-leg match, which resulted in a 4-0 defeat.
Osimhen estimated his recovery time to be between five and six weeks. This period will unfortunately cause him to miss a critical Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe, scheduled for April 26. The league standings show a four-point difference between the top two teams, with the leader having played one less game.
The striker had initially picked up the injury earlier in the Liverpool match but continued playing until halftime. Notably, Noa Lang, who replaced Osimhen, also sustained a deep thumb cut during the same game and required surgery in England.
