Directed by Ben Sturgulewski, the documentary focuses on Afghan skier Alishah Farhang and his efforts to foster a ski culture in the Bamyan region. Despite missing qualification for the Winter Olympics, Farhang's dedication inspired a local ski movement, bringing joy and unity. The film showcases the community's resourcefulness, with children crafting skis from wood to participate in the sport.
Boasting an impressive list of executive producers, including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai and Emmy winner Doug Blush, the film has garnered over 30 international awards since its premiere at the Tribeca Festival. These accolades highlight its powerful narrative of hope, resilience, and the universal ability of sport to connect people.
