He is celebrated for blocking for Eli Manning and has extensive coaching experience in Mississippi.
Marcus Woodson, a Mississippi native, is the new Co-Defensive Coordinator. He played safety for Ole Miss from 2000 to 2002, earning All-SEC honors before an injury ended his playing career. Woodson has since built a coaching reputation at notable programs like Florida State and Arkansas.
Michael Spurlock, a former quarterback and running back (2001-2005), returns as Offensive Assistant Wide Receiver Coach. A dynamic playmaker who amassed over 2,000 receiving yards, Spurlock had an eight-year NFL career, making history with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chargers. He also spent a season coaching with the Dallas Cowboys before returning to collegiate football.
