Hoyt Adds More Firepower to Loaded Cowgirls

Oklahoma State women's basketball coach Jacie Hoyt continued to enhance the Cowgirls' roster with the addition of veteran guard Callin Hake from Nebraska. This move came after assembling the nation's top transfer class, which already included stars like Audi Crooks and Liv McGill. Hake brings significant experience, having played 131 games with 68 starts for Nebraska over four seasons. She also participated in the NCAA Tournament in each of the past three years and served as a team captain in 2025-26.

Hake is coming off her most productive collegiate season, averaging 7.2 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.5 rebounds while starting all 32 games she played. Notably, she led her team with 116 assists and 42 steals and set a Nebraska program record by drawing 33 offensive fouls. Her perimeter shooting is also a valuable asset, with 154 career three-pointers made at Nebraska, fitting into Oklahoma State's offensive strategy that produced a program-record 310 threes last season.

Coach Hoyt emphasized that any additional player had to possess "elite character and a team-first mentality," qualities she believes Hake embodies. Hake's leadership extends beyond the court; she served as president of Nebraska's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and chaired the Big Ten Student-Athlete Issues Commission. Her addition provides crucial experience, shooting, defense, and leadership to a team with aspirations of being the best in program history.
