The Oklahoma Sooners are making a strong push for 2028 four-star running back Zaiden Jernigan, currently ranked as the No. 2 running back nationally. Jernigan, a 5'11", 200-pound prospect from Louisville, Mississippi, has identified Ole Miss, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma as his top three programs.
He has already embarked on 10 visits and intends to explore more campuses this fall. Jernigan plans to narrow his focus and commit early after these extensive trips. Oklahoma's running backs coach, Deland McCullough, has built a solid rapport with the young recruit, highlighting his NFL coaching experience.
Jernigan possesses an ideal frame for a running back and is considered a potential immediate impact player. Oklahoma aims to host him on campus during a game this season, a strategy that has historically impressed recruits and could sway Jernigan's decision.
