This marks the second consecutive year a fast bowler has won the prestigious award.
In the women's category, New Zealand captain Melie Kerr secured the Debbie Hockley Medal for the fourth consecutive year. The 25-year-old was also the highest-scoring T20I player, accumulating 354 runs at an average of 70. Her leadership was instrumental in New Zealand's recent five-match T20I series win over South Africa.
Other notable accolades included Tim Seifert receiving the ANZ Men's T20I Player of the Year for his prolific run-scoring, including a strong performance at the 2026 T20 World Cup. Daryl Mitchell was named ANZ Men's ODI Player of the Year for his outstanding batting average of 138 in the 50-over format, highlighted by a remarkable series against India.
