Coach Ejected in Heated Rockets-Nuggets Clash

Denver Nuggets coach David Adelman was ejected from an NBA game for the first time in his career on Saturday. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of the Nuggets' 115-101 loss to the Houston Rockets, with officials ultimately sending Adelman to the locker room after he received a technical foul earlier in the game. Assistant coach Jared Dudley assumed head coaching duties following Adelman's departure.

Adelman cited frustration with officiating calls, particularly those that led to Nikola Jokic accumulating fouls and having to leave the game. He felt the calls were "soft" and contributed to his confusion regarding the game's flow. Despite the intensity, Adelman stated he did not believe the officiating was related to a previous incident where Rockets coach Ime Udoka was fined for criticizing the officiating.

The matchup also saw a fiery exchange between Houston's Kevin Durant and former teammate, now Nuggets player, Bruce Brown. The two players, who once played together, were seen having heated words and interactions during the game. Brown indicated that the exchange crossed a line, while Durant acknowledged his words were excessive, adding that not all players can balance trash-talking with playing.
