Mattsson's First Goal Seals Win for Norwich

Norwich City secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Charlton Athletic at The Valley, with Danish midfielder Pelle Mattsson netting his first goal for the club.

Manager Philippe Clement lauded his squad's performance, describing it as a win with 'a big heart' and significant physicality. He noted the challenging turnaround after returning late on Thursday from a previous intense fixture, underscoring the team's mental and physical strength to secure the result.

Clement also expressed dissatisfaction with the scheduling of Friday matches after an international window. He questioned the rationale, pointing out potential difficulties for players returning late and the increased risk of injuries in modern football with its demanding schedule.
