As the 2025 Formula 1 season reaches its midpoint, McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are locked in a fierce title fight. However, off the track, the duo's dynamic remains lighthearted, as evidenced by their recent appearance on the fan-favorite YouTube series Grill the Grid.
The first episode of the 2025 Grill the Grid challenge featured a unique test, where players had to identify faces stitched together from three different people. When it came to one particularly baffling mashup, nearly the entire 2025 grid faltered, with several drivers, including Charles Leclerc, Oliver Bearman, and Alex Albon, mistaking the forehead for Piastri's.
But it was Norris' unwavering confidence that stole the show. Convinced the mystery man was his teammate, he argued, "That's not Oscar... Are you sure? That could be Oscar." The producer firmly denied Norris' claim, but the McLaren driver remained unconvinced, doubling down, "That looks like Oscar."
To make the situation even more amusing, it was Piastri himself who correctly identified the full face, pointing to Norris' bearded photo in the bottom part of the mashup and quipping, "Back in his beard era."
Despite their playful banter, Norris and Piastri's title fight remains intense on the racetrack. At the recent Hungarian Grand Prix, the two drivers engaged in a strategic battle, with Norris ultimately securing the victory and McLaren's 200th Grand Prix win. With just ten races remaining, the championship battle between the McLaren duo is poised to go down to the wire.
