Nils Hoglander is demonstrating a resurgence with the Nashville Predators, echoing his career-best performance from the 2023-24 season. During the 2023-24 season with the Vancouver Canucks, Hoglander achieved personal highs in goals and points, scoring 24 goals and accumulating 36 points, marks he has not replicated since. Following a significant offensive decline in the 2024-25 season, which also saw the Canucks' coach Rick Tocchet fired, Hoglander was traded to Nashville. The Predators acquired him for a 2029 third-round pick, a move that is proving to be a bargain. Since joining the Predators, Hoglander scored the game-winning goal against the Dallas Stars, securing Nashville's sole win of the 2026-27 season to date. He further impressed against the Toronto Maple Leafs, contributing two goals in a game that ultimately went to overtime. Hoglander's current momentum with the Predators offers a strong early return on investment, with the key question being his ability to sustain this performance throughout the season.
