Oklahoma City Thunder 2024 draft selection Nikola Topic has completed his chemotherapy for testicular cancer, according to an update in early January. His agent, Misko Raznatovic, expressed hope for his return to play this year.
Topic, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, has yet to play in a regular-season game for the Thunder. He missed his entire rookie season due to a knee injury sustained before the draft. He is expected to make his return playing for the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder's G League affiliate, on Monday evening, February 9th, against the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Prior to his injuries, Topic was recognized as a top prospect for his passing ability. The Thunder organization has praised Topic's resilience and maturity in handling his health challenges at a young age.
